One such piece was the Wassily chair. Initially the artist and designer Marcel Breuer created the chair after being inspired by the bent handles of his bicycle. The entire chair looks like it has been bent out of a single continuous tube but its not. The original piece was made from nickel plated tubing but over time, the latest versions have changed over to being chromium plated.
